Beltane Circle
Join Black Mountain Meditation for an afternoon of meditation, workshops and sensory snacking in the tranquil grounds of Sydenham Garden.
At 2.30pm on Sunday the 7th of May we will gather at Sydenham Garden, 28A Wynell Rd, London SE23 2LW.
Beltane is a festival marking the midpoint between the spring equinox and the summer solstice, a transition acknowledged for millennia in the solar calendar. Gathering together on Beltane is a way of celebrating the turning of the season, connecting deeply with time, and welcoming the approach of summer.
Guided meditation and awareness practice will be an important part of our celebration, with an emphasis on connecting to our senses.
We will be using carefully taught practices drawn from the Buddhist tradition. With these practices as our anchor we will co-create a ritual to mark this passage of time. This will include meditation walks, making a central display, and each discovering and painting a unique calligraphic mark or shape that we can take home with us as a memento, and to carry inspiration as we progress through the season.
We are extremely excited to be working with Helen Russell Brown, an extraordinary vegan chef who will be making sensory offerings for us to enjoy.
